Introductions

Hey, so I know at this point there aren't a whole lot of members, but still I can't help but think: introductions are in order.

So, I'll start.

I've lived in Florida my whole life. Been to Canada once, and Washington State and a few other places but mainly, I've been in the Sunshine state for 23 years +.

Kind of sad, I know. I spent a few years at USF, transferred to FGCU in Estero and now work as a staff writer for the Daily Breeze. Though I'm writing mostly articles these days, fiction is my passion. It is a dream (dillusional) to sit around and write novels. But since I'm not fond of vampires or little English boys, it seems I'll be finding other ways to pay the bills for now. Or at least, until my second job kicks in (playing the lottery).

Until then, I'll be here dreaming and writing. My fiction is often sci-fi based, but I'm comfortable stepping out of that when the wind takes me somewhere else. I'm not so fond of poetry -- mainly because I suck at it.

I'm an Irish boy, and stereotypically I'm a beer enthusiast. My favorite beer is St. Pauli Girl (I'm a traitor to my race, I know). I also enjoy many other brews, mostly imports. Not so fond of domestics, with the exception of a very few.

But enough about beer. I do like beer, though.

I'm still finishing an English degree, and I can't wait to get out of Florida. I'm engaged to be married next May (2009) and I have a dog and two cats.

Other than that, life is pretty boring here in the lightning capital of the world. I haven't seen lightning in like 6 months, so don't buy that whole "capital of the world" crap.

Wasn't Grandma Holmes like 90% German? She always tried to teach me the German language when I spent the night at her house.

Also, I suggest you try Yuengling Black & Tan. It is my new favorite beer. And it's domestic. Seriously. Labatt is good, but you can seriously lick your lips after Black & Tan. I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE SERIAL IN MY LIFE.


Anyways, I'm a 20 year old Irish boy that may or may not be related to the original poster of this topic. I haven't written anything in a long time, but I do work on an amateur RPG from time to time with a completely unique story. Uhm... also me and my friend Big Erik have a comic called NUKEMAN & Kittyboy which currently we have nothing online, but if we ever get off our lazy asses and complete something, I'll be sure to upload or link.
