Yeah, ehr, I like the forum, seems pretty friendly.

Although it's a bit of a pain trying to read white or turquoise text on a gray background.... cyclops not terribly ergonomic. Neutral

I agree with you, I've been considering switching to black/red type colors. Might contrast more so you can see everything. What do you think, everyone (all five of us Smile)?

More contrast would be nice. Although I must say I liked the turquoise background.

Man! Sorry for being so picky, but this is waaaaaaaay too much contrast... after 3 minutes of browsing the forum I feel like I'm about to see everything in 3D Shocked Shocked Shocked

Guess I'm way too visual since I'm a photographer and studied graphic design... but it's like... well, imagine trying to read a book that has been printed in black paper with white letters and a red margin... Sad It kinda hurts after a while

Guess my humble suggestion would be to stick to neutral/soft colors... just like they do with readable printed material.

Ah! Okay okay, it seems I'm the only one who likes the whole space thing (I'm probably being biased as a sci-fi writer). But, you guys are the members. How about this, nothing concrete for the next week or so. I'll try different set-ups for a day or so, and just PM me or something when you see one you like. If there's one everyone agrees is -- I would say fun but also easy to deal with visually -- we'll stick to that.

The problem is most the templates they offer are either neon green or orange and whatnot. But I'll see what I can do.

Cheers.

This one is kind of neat, easy on the eyes and a fun floaty effect. I have to play with it to see if I can fix the glitches of not having categories... we need those to protect your writing from passerbies. I'll see what I can do with this ASAP.

ADDTN: So according to the forum admin panel, the sections ARE separated into categories, but they aren't showing up. Don't think this is going to work out unless one of you fine members knows how to fix it. I logged out and the writing sections went away, so no worries -- you can't see them if you aren't logged in. Still....it's all a bit too jumbled without the sections.

Hey this bluey template is much more easy to the eyes! Goody.

I think I had this issue too. Try this:

Admin panel=>General=>Homepage=>Hierarchy and look for this option "Split categories on index :" and choose "Medium"

I just want to say that I pretty much like the way this site is. However, is it possible to make forums password protected to prevent spybots and such from coming in and copying a person's work? You can e-mail the passwords to members of this forum.
