Sorry I haven't had much of a chance to make updates to the forum these past couple weeks. What with the dog being sick, work as stressful (and fulfilling I keep telling myself Smile

) as ever, spending time with the Mrs. and trying to get in a little bit of fiction of my own, I've been neglectful of the site.

I do try to get out here as often as possible though, and respond to posters when possible. There will be new writing prompts, contests and things of that nature within the next couple of days. Possibly by tonight.

Looking forward to seeing some writing from people. And now, a pirate.

That's cool. I don't have a career yet, in fact I'm due to start college in the fall, but I have made it my priority to kick off my writing career, and it's what I'm doing. So, I can understand how busy you'd be.

I can't be too busy yet because my novel is with my editor. I only redid four chapters--without her knowing--and I can't touch the rest of the 29 chapters until she hands it back to me. She's not paid. She's just a first time author, and since I'm friends with her daughter, I guess it's special treatment. But I do plan on adding her in my acknowledgements and dedication.
